Our institute is dedicated to laboratory medicine in research, patient care, and education at the TUM University Hospital. We run the university hospital's diagnostic laboratories in a wide range of specialized areas and provide 24/7 services. 

In addition, we run research laboratories where our scientists and physicians study the regulation and function of the immune system and its dysregulation in diseases, particularly cancer. Collaborating closely with TUM's technical and natural science disciplines, we contribute to developing innovative diagnostic and rational therapeutic approaches for both malignant and non-malignant diseases. These efforts are in close interaction with the Central Institute for Translational Cancer Research (TranslaTUM).
