Cancer researcher Prof. Ruland receives Leibniz Prize

Prof. Jürgen Ruland from the Klinikum rechts der Isar of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) has been awarded the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz Prize 2021. The Professor of Clinical Chemistry is being honored for his outstanding scientific work in the field of immunology, which has led to a fundamentally new understanding of signal transduction pathways in immune and cancer cells, as announced by the German Research Foundation (DFG). The most important German research prize is endowed with 2.5 million euros. The award winner can use this money for future-oriented research work.
